Google has announced that it will stop supporting the Android Studio 32-bit framework software and the Android Emulator 32-bit from 2020 and will instead support the more powerful 64-bit integrated development environment (IDE) models. Google says running the Android Studio on a 64-bit device rather than the 32-bit version makes for a “better development experience” with IDE, along with providing “powerful access to memory” for the Android Emulator. The firm also noted that while this move would not impact most Android Studio users, those using Microsoft Windows 32-bit versions would certainly be affected. Google is supporting users of the 32-bit version of Windows during this transitional period by providing information on the future deteriorating timeline, along with remedial measures to take for the changes.
