The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG) will work together to create a common version of the specifications for HTML and DOM in a step that will help bring the two groups closer together. W3C and WHATWG will work together to create a living standard on HTML and DOM, housed in and managed by WHATWG repositories.
